 You cannot think about summer and not think about one of summers biggest accessories...  That's right, Sunnies!!!  Right now, there are a few trends that I am seeing a lot of.   Round lenses,  cat eye, embellished and we can't forget the always fab classics; aviators, wayfarers and club masters. One of my current favs are the mirrored and holographic sunglasses.  Although they made their appearance on the S/S 12 runways they have become more main stream lately.  I love the fact that they add a pop of color and that modern and mysterious quality rolled all into one.  I'm definitely putting them on my MUST list.  Not to down play the other lens trends.  Say that five times fast. ;-} I'm also a huge fan of the cat eyes and cannot wait to try the round lenses.  Although I will admit, I am a little scared I will look a little too John Lennon ish.  Any who, go and put your stunner shades on. ;-)   Just remember, no matter what style you choose, work them with a smile!!!

The weather is finally warming up and getting me more and more excited for summer.  I love this time of the year.  You get to break out the bikinis and lounge at the beach, lake or pool and work on that tan.  A trend I have noticed everywhere is the awesome crop top.  Although this trend is making me want to amp up my ab workouts, I am excited to try it out.  I love how versatile it is.  Try out a casual cropped tee with cut offs or a dressy pencil skirt and a matching cropped tank.  When showing your midriff, you want to make sure you don't show too much of everything else.  For example, when wearing a cropped tank, pair it with a knee length skirt or pants.  If you wear one with a mini skirt, it might end up showing a little too much.  You want to leave something a mystery.  My rule of thumb is show  midriff, cleavage or legs, pick one and cover the other two.  Yes showing skin can be tricky, however when done right it adds just the right amount of sex appeal.  Now go get crop topping!

I always love it when a trend enables you to breathe new life into current pieces you already have hanging in your closet.  The wearing your coat, jacket or blazer over your shoulders as opposed to putting your arms through the arm holes, is one of those trends.  It enables you to put a chic twist on those items that once seemed plain and no longer in style.  This is now, how I wear all of my jackets and blazers and I must say, it does give every outfit that special little something.  So try this trend out and see just how chic it makes you feel.  Keep those shoulders warm.  My only caveat, is to make sure your jacket or blazer does not have huge shoulder pads.  You don't want to look like a linebacker.

Past spring/summer seasons have been all about color color color.  However, this season I am noticing a trend on the complete opposite side of the color spectrum.   It's all about White.  White overalls, blazers, heels, jumpsuits, white everything.  Not only is this trend in clothing, it is appearing on nails, makeup and even hair.  I know, right. white hair...really????  Not exactly a trend for me but it seems to work for those special few.  I've always been a fan of the color since it goes with everything and exudes a crisp clean look.  My only issue is the fact that it is a magnet for dirt.  especially, if you are like me and have dogs or kids.  I still try to rock white even if it doesn't last.  This trend is also great since most of us already own plenty of white items.  So go into your closets, find those white pieces that have been lying dormant for a while, put them together and rock this trend with confidence.  White it out!!!!
